Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier (short coat)

Pit Bull Terrier (short coat) Dog

COURTESY POST-Stacy the Dog needs a home

STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.

Stacy was found on the side of the street one day in April. I went out to help save her and found her laying there helpless. We got her to emergency where we got her comfortable. She was later transported to port Huron where she had her broken hips fixed. The accident did leave her with a partial paralyzed front paw. She does still use it to pull herself up. She is such a love bug and very happy just to have someone to lay with. She is great with men, kids, and woman. She just isn't great with other animals. She does like my male pit but she is kept separate with my other dogs. Lacy has come so far from last April. She is happy, healthy and strong. Her bad paw doesn't get in her way of getting where she wants to go. She is gentle when taking food from you hand. PLEASE CONTACT [email protected] FOR MORE INFORMATION

THIS IS A COURTESY POST, ALL THE INFORMATION WE HAVE IS PROVIDED PLEASE CONTACT THE EMAIL PROVIDED FOR MORE INFORMATION. STAR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TRANSFER OF GUARDIANSHIP.

All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped.

AGE DISCLAIMER:
Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.
  BREED DISCLAIMER:
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality,
not
by breed label .
Microchips:
For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter!
